It’s 2020 and the problem continues to get worse + we are filming everything. Son this is one topic I’m not excited to explain to you, nor your history teachers… it’s not something people teach until now, it’s only been taught by musicians and history books. A quiet conversation people have behind closed doors until now. Recently a black man was pinned down by several cops, only 1 cop was convicted of man slaughter. Third degree, not first degree. Third degree means you didn’t mean to kill the human, and the entire event was filmed and televised VIA social networks.
One problem here is different treatments. A mass shooter, white, will get escorted out AND cops get away with murdering unarmed black people more than anyone else, my entire life… Black lives matter, you’ll come to grow up to know this is important. It’s important because we are not different. My beautiful son, you’re the same as everyone else, you’re the same as everyone else on this planet.
Son, in life I’m going to teach you a lot of self defense, a lot of Brazilian jui jitsu especially, And at no time will ever teach you to use your knee as a means of pinning someone down, while others hold them down, and dropping your knee on their neck, will not be something I’m going to show you.
You already know your knees and hands go to the heavy bag and I’ve taught you how to do that at a very young age, you love throwing your knees against the heavy bag, I do too, it’s fun…, however not each other or animals. And especially not your weight in someone else’s neck, 8+ minutes.
Don’t try to watch this film until your 30+ years old. It’s a film of death, someone being killed, and this isn’t the first time. This happens constantly, the only difference today and 30 years ago, 50 years ago, or 200 years ago is the device I’m using to publish this information, phones-internet…. and the society we have built with each others online connections, and we can make it available to each other and millions of others of potential viewers.
