Madonna and Beyoncé pose with some of their daughters at ‘Renaissance’ concert

While Madonna continues her recovery after a recent hospitalization, she stopped off at a Beyoncé concert over the weekend with three of her daughters in tow.

According to photos posted on Madonna’s Instagram Stories earlier this week, the “Vogue” icon attended the “Break My Soul” singer’s “Renaissance” show at Met Life stadium in New York with her daughters, Mercy, Stella and Estere.

“Thank you Queen B for your Magnificent show! My daughters were enthralled! We love you,” text read on one of the photos from the show that Madonna posted.

The photo showcased a view of the stage, flanked by dancers clad in all pink costumes, and captured the moment that Queen Bey paid homage to the Queen of Pop with text that read “queen mother Madonna” splashed across giant video screens.

Madonna and her daughters were also seen in a group photo posing backstage with Beyoncé and her daughter Rumi, along with snaps showcasing her brood looking excited in a car, and Madonna snuggling with one of her girls in the crowd during the “Renaissance” show.

Madonna’s attendance at the concert is a welcome sight after news earlier this summer that the Grammy-winner was hospitalized due to a “serious bacterial infection,” according to a statement her friend and longtime manager Guy Oseary posted on Instagram.

On Monday, Madonna herself posted an update on her recovery, saying she feels lucky “to be alive” after the ordeal.

“Love from family and friends is the best Medicine,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram page, adding that “my children really showed up for me.”

Seems fair to say that as she heals, Madonna is showing up for her children too.

Gal Gadot says ‘Wonder Woman 3’ being developed

Gal Gadot may be picking up the Lasso of Truth again.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, conducted prior to the SAG/AFTRA strike and published this week, the actress said she will be developing “Wonder Woman 3” for DC Studios with James Gunn and Peter Safran. (CNN and DC Studios are both part of Warner Bros. Discovery.)

“I love portraying Wonder Woman,” Gadot told the outlet. “It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.”

Gadot played Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) in 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and then starred in 2017’s “Wonder Woman” and its 2020 sequel,” Wonder Woman 1984,” directed by Patty Jenkins.

The exact plans for the movie have not been revealed yet.

Safran and Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy” will hit theaters in 2025.

Gadot next stars in Netflix’s “Heart of Stone,” playing spy Rachel Stone. The movie streams on Aug. 11.

San Diego Comic-Con moves ahead without its usual star power

The time has come for the comic book-loving, cosplay-clad San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) attendees to flock to sunny southern California for the 2023 convention – but this year is looking just a tad different.

The con comes as Hollywood is at a standstill with the industry’s unionized actors and writers on strike after negotiations with the major studios and streamers on new contracts fell apart.

With these strikes, there are rules that members have to follow – including being prohibited from participating in promotional events and conventions, according to SAG-AFTRA’s FAQ page – and the effect of these rules will certainly be felt this weekend at the celebrated fan convention.

The Wrap reported in June that Marvel Studios is bowing out of presenting a panel or any of their usual Hall H fanfare this year (Hall H is the 6,500-seat convention hall that hosts the biggest and buzziest panels). Marvel’s panels are usually the most anticipated, and con-goers would have perhaps gotten a first look this summer at the studio’s upcoming projects including “The Marvels,” “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” and “Deadpool 3.”

James Gunn, the newly minted co-CEO of the Warner Bros.-owned DC Studios, replied to a commenter earlier this month on his Instagram page saying that he won’t be at Comic-Con this year either, adding “but probably next year.” So, it looks like there won’t be any big Warner Bros. or DC Studios Hall H presentation this year, either. (CNN and DC Studios are both part of Warner Bros. Discovery.)

Last month, it was widely reported that other studios such as Universal Pictures, Lucasfilm, Legendary Entertainment, Sony Pictures and Netflix are following suit by opting out of this year’s SDCC.

Oscar-winner Jamie Lee Curtis, however, confirmed in an Instagram post last week that she’ll be in San Diego this weekend, this time as an author of her graphic novel “Mother Nature,” and is slated to participate in a discussion for “Mother Nature” on Friday.

SAG-AFTRA announced on Thursday that the union’s national executive director, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, will be participating in a panel discussion on Saturday about artificial intelligence, a contentious topic that became a large part of why the writers and actors went on strike.

Crabtree-Ireland will be joined by a handful of voice actors to discuss “the hazards and opportunities AI presents, how the union is approaching the issue, the laws surrounding this new technology, and its role in the strike,” according to the announcement.

Ultimately, the lack of big panels, buzzy parties and a who’s-who of celebrities running around San Diego’s Gaslamp quarter may come as a bit of a relief for SDCC loyalists who will face less crowds, shorter lines and more access to limited edition items found in the aisles of the sprawling exhibit hall.

Attendees will also have a plethora of non-celebrity related panels and workshops to jump into throughout the weekend, and the incredible cosplay that was undoubtedly worked on all year long can finally be shown off.

San Diego Comic-Con kicks off on Thursday and will run through Sunday at the San Diego Convention Center.

Tupac Shakur Murder: Police took items from home of witness to shooting, warrant shows

Property records show that a house searched in connection with the investigation into Tupac Shakur’s killing belongs to the wife of a self-proclaimed witness to the rapper’s shooting.

The search warrant, obtained by CNN, names Duane Keith Davis and shows police were looking for “items that tend to show evidence of motive and/or the identity of the perpetrator such as photographs or undeveloped film, insurance policies and letters, address and telephone records, diaries, and other documents…”

The property records show that the target of the search, a home on Maple Shade Street in Henderson, Nevada, belongs to Paula Clemons who is married to Davis, also known as “Keffe D.”

Keffe D is a self-proclaimed witness to Shakur’s 1996 fatal shooting.

Police took several tablets, an iPhone, and five computers from the home when they executed the warrant on Monday. Also taken were USB and hard drives, photographs, “purported marijuana,” along with a copy of “Vibe” magazine about Tupac, and a copy of the book “Compton Street Legends” by Keffe D with Yusuf Jah.

The affidavit requesting the warrant shows police were looking for, among other items, “notes, writings, ledgers, and other handwritten or typed documents concerning television shows, documentaries, YouTube episodes, book manuscripts, and movies concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur.”

Items seized from the Las Vegas home also included a copy of the memoir Davis authored detailing street gang life and the murder of Shakur.

In the book, Davis describes himself as one of only two living witnesses to Shakur’s shooting, the other being Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, former CEO of Death Row Records, who is now serving time in prison for manslaughter in an unrelated case. Knight was driving the car in which Shakur was a passenger when the rapper was shot.

Davis is believed to be the uncle of Orlando Anderson, who has long been suspected of being involved in Tupac’s murder, a charge he denied to CNN before his death in a gang-related shooting in 1998.

In a 1998 interview with BET, Davis said he was in the front seat of the other car – the one that came up alongside Shakur’s automobile – when shots rang out from the backseat.

“Going to keep it for the code of the streets,” Davis said when asked between the four men in the car, who was responsible for pulling the trigger. “It just came from the backseat, bro.”

Three hours before the shooting, MGM casino surveillance video shows Shakur, Suge Knight and their entourage attacking Anderson, an L.A.-area gang member. Many believe that Anderson and his friends shot Shakur in retaliation. Anderson died in a gang-related shooting in 1998.

Retired police lieutenant Chris Carroll, the first officer on the scene of the infamous shooting on the Las Vegas strip, tells CNN affiliate KSNV this week that he believes Anderson is the person who shot Shakur.

“I think it’s pretty significant,” Carroll said of the search warrant. “You know, I don’t think anybody saw this coming. It, it’s been 27 years. I think anybody had given up hope on any type of prosecution and this, you know, kind of changes the game and open things up.”

Carroll’s optimism is tempered. “I would be surprised if they even found anything in that home that is usable as evidence, but you know, maybe, maybe they did,” he said. “It’s 27 years later, it’s going to be tough to find evidence.”

Shakur was shot multiple times in Las Vegas in 1996 while leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. At the time of his fatal shooting, he was in a car with Knight when a white Cadillac pulled up beside them and began shooting out of the back window.

CNN reported at the time that authorities believed the rapper was the intended target of the shooting, but since 1996, the investigation has remained unsolved.

Keke Palmer’s partner slammed for shaming her over outfit

The father of Keke Palmer’s son is getting dragged on social media for recent comments he made regarding her clothing.

Palmer was recently filmed grooving at an Usher concert in Las Vegas, where the superstar singer serenaded her.

Her boyfriend, fitness instructor Darius Jackson, was apparently not a fan of the footage showing Palmer in a fitted, black bodysuit with a sheer overlay dancing with Usher as he sang to her.

“It’s the outfit tho..you a mom,” he tweeted.

There was backlash causing Jackson, 28, to explain his position.

“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he wrote in another tweet. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Palmer gave birth four months ago to Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson, whom she shares with Jackson.

The 29-year-old “Nope” star and Jackson are not married, and on Thursday, it appeared he had deleted his Twitter account.

CNN has reached out to reps for the couple for comment.
