Scott Baio has shared that he is ready to relocate out of California.
The former “Charles in Charge” star tweeted last week that he is going to “exit stage right” from California after 45 years.
Baio also shared a screen grab and quote from a story about homeless encampments near Beverly Hills, reported by CNN affiliate KTLA.
“The most recent survey conducted by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority found approximately 69,000 people experiencing homelessness in L.A. County and 41,000 in the city in 2022,” Baio quoted from the article.
Baio’s tweet prompted a mixed response.
One individual commented, “I’m sure they’ll miss such an important right wing shill like you,” Baio, an outspoken conservative, replied, “Maybe not, but they’ll certainly miss the high taxes I pay!”
Someone else tweeted, “no reason to live in a city where there’s homeless people” and Baio responded, “This brings down property value. Also no consequences for crime that is rampant, making things higher in price and it’s just not a safe place anymore. #ImFree.”
The former “Happy Days” star lives in Woodland Hills, California, whose data is included in the Los Angeles crime statistics.
CNN affiliate KABC in Los Angeles recently reported that overall violent crime is down 3% in the city when compared to 2019, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Baio’s wife Renee tweeted some information about their daughter Bailey “BB” Baio and the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) that had some questioning if the couple was relocating for that reason.
“Never in my life did I think we would be changing our whole lives for our daughter to jump ‘all in’ on her dream!,” her tweet reads. “I will miss my new kitchen and our friends, however, this is a very exciting journey we are on with ‘BB.’ Go get it baby girl!”

Tom Hanks has something to say about some of the critical reviews of his debut novel, “The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece.”
According to the official synopsis, the book is based on “a wildly ambitious story of the making of a colossal, star-studded, multimillion-dollar superhero action film, and the humble comic book that inspired it all.”
Some of the initial reviews of the book have been mixed.
The Sunday Times called his writing “clunky,” while The New York Times said the book “sags under a deluge of detail.”
But Hanks is taking the criticism in stride. In an interview with the BBC, he explained why he took on the project.
“Sometimes you just have to have some other reason to spark your imagination,” he said, adding that his novel will “live and die based on its own ability to entertain and enlighten an audience.”
Hanks said his job as an actor has taught him to handle criticism well.
“[I’ve become] stronger when it comes down to really being torn apart,” he said.

It’s been five years since Meek Mill was released from prison after a sentence for a probation violation that sparked controversy and spurred the #FreeMeekMill movement.
Since then, the recording artist behind hits like “All Eyes on You” has dedicated his life to reforming laws around probation and parole, with the launch of the REFORM Alliance. Mill co-founded the group in 2018 with Jay-Z, Michael Rubin and Van Jones. They have since passed 16 bills in 10 states around probation and parole laws, according to the organization.
“Not committing a [violent] crime still led me to prison being locked in a small room 23 hours a day, being locked up with murderers and eating junk food, sleeping on concrete,” Mill told CNN in a recent interview. “You know, that was a lot. I try to see past it and not to dwell on things like that, not bitter about it because it is my life and what brought me to who I am today.”
Mill received a two-to-four-year prison sentence in 2017 for violating probation from a 2008 gun and drug case. The violation occurred when he was arrested after being involved in a fight and later for popping wheelies on a dirt bike. His sentence sparked calls for criminal justice reform from notable artists and athletes, including Colin Kapernick, Rick Ross, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and comedian Kevin Hart. Mill spent five months of his sentence incarcerated before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered his immediate release.
“A huge part of what we do is to tell the story of people impacted by the system,” Robert Rooks, CEO of the REFORM Alliance said. “People like Meek and others who get sent back to jail or prison for not for committing a new crime but for staying out past curfew or for seeing a loved one outside the city, town or county – those are just some of the reasons why we are telling the stories of everyday people who are currently trapped in our nation’s probation and parole system.”
Mill said his efforts to make a positive impact start close to home.
“One of my most memorable moments was recently buying my grandmother her first house and giving her a better way of living because she’s the one that laid out opportunity for my whole family,” he said. “And to be able to just set structure for my family and be able to help people, that’s a new part of my life that I’ve really enjoyed.”

Christopher Nolan’s nuclear thriller “Oppenheimer” has debuted a tense new trailer.
The movie, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer” by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, is about atomic bomb creator J. Robert Oppenheimer.
Starring Cillian Murphy as Openheimer, the film focuses on the 1945 Trinity Test in New Mexico, where the world’s first nuclear device was detonated successfully.
“You’re the man who gave them the power to destroy themselves,” Oppenheimer is warned in the trailer. “The world is not prepared.”
Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Kenneth Branagh, David Krumholtz and Josh Peck also star.
Murphy has previously worked with Nolan on “Inception,” “Dunkirk” and “The Dark Knight” trilogy.
“Oppenheimer” will be released in theaters on July 21.

We’re ready for seconds, chef.
FX’s “The Bear” is giving us just that, with the announcement on Monday that the award-winning comedy-drama series about a local, family-run business will premiere its long-awaited second season exclusively on Hulu on June 22.
All of the 10 new episodes will be available to stream when the new season premieres, so foodies and drama fans can gobble up the entire season all at once if so desired.
Jeremy Allen White returns as Carmy, alongside co-stars Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, as their characters “work to transform their grimy sandwich joint into a next-level spot,” according to a news release.
In Season 2, the crew will work through the physical transformation of the new restaurant, and face personal transformations when they are each “forced to confront the past and reckon with who they want to be in the future.” Season 2 will also shed real-world light on the hospitality industry, including the bureaucracy of permits, dealing with contractors and the “beauty and creative agony” that goes into planning a menu.
Newcomer Molly Gordon is joining the cast in a recurring role, with Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Edwin Lee Gibson and Oliver Platt reprising their Season 1 roles. Speculation that “Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk would be joining that cast circulated last month, but FX and Odenkirk have yet to release a formal announcement confirming the casting rumors.
The raw chaos inside of the restaurant’s kitchen captivated viewers when “The Bear” debuted in June of 2022 and followed Allen White’s character Carmy, an elite chef, coming home to Chicago to help run his family’s local sandwich shop after his brother died by suicide.
Allen White’s performance earned him a slew of nominations on the 2022 awards circuit, with the “Shameless” star taking home Golden Globe, SAG and Critics Choice awards for his performance in the comedy acting categories.

Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller-Rogen have lost their beloved dog, Zelda, who they have always said was their child.
Zelda had multitudes of fans and even appeared in a number of Rogen’s movies.
Miller-Rogen took to Instagram with the sad news, posting a carousel of pictures of the pooch, and writing a long caption about why Zelda was so special.
“We said goodbye to our perfect girl Zelda on Thursday, May 4th. She was almost 14 years old,” she wrote. “She was truly the most special, magical creature. She taught us about love, resilience, strength and kindness. We loved her more than words can describe. Everyone who met her saw what a unique little puppy she was. She’d stare in to your soul with her gigantic buggy eyes. She was so judgmental, that when she loved you, you really knew you earned it, and it made you feel like you had won.”
She continued: “She had an incredible life and was lucky to have so many friends and shared her special love with so many people. She was a girl who was so shy no one adopted her as a baby who became a girl who traveled to multiple countries, appeared in three movies, on two magazine covers, and inspired countless works of Zelda-art— including a lighter that is now in the homes of hundreds of people.”
Miller-Rogen also included a list of things about Zelda that stood out including “Her big eyeballs and her intense eye contact” as well as “The way the fur on her legs looks like culottes from the back.”
“The way she would sit and wait to be called to walk through the metal detectors at the airport and then she’d run through them and everyone would comment about what a good girl she was,” Miller-Rogen wrote.
Rogen shared the same post on his own Instagram.
