Pink reveals she almost died of a drug overdose as a teenager

Pink is opening up about her past in a new interview with “60 Minutes,” revealing she nearly died of a drug overdose in the ’90s.

“I grew up in a house where every day my parents were screaming at each other, throwing things. They hated each other,” Pink told Cecilia Vega.

Describing herself as “a punk” at the time, Pink said she eventually started using and selling drugs, got kicked out of her house and dropped out of high school. “I was off the rails,” she said.

On Thanksgiving day in 1995, “I was at a rave and I overdosed,” she said, adding that she had taken “ecstasy, angel dust, crystal – all kinds of things” that night.

She told Vega the combination almost killed her.

That was the last time she used “hard drugs,” according to the report. Weeks later, Pink (whose name is Alecia Moore) scored her first record deal with an all-girls R&B group. She eventually launched a solo career using the “teenage nickname” she’s now known for.

“I keep demanding more and more and more from myself physically, emotionally, spiritually, vocally. I want to raise the bar all the time,” Pink said. “When they say a woman has to slow down, become smaller, take up less space, calm down – no. Absolutely not. Why can’t we ride it till the wheels fall off?”

“That’s what I plan on doing,” she said.

Mark Duplass opens up about living with anxiety and depression

Mark Duplass is talking about his decades-long struggle with anxiety and depression.

The producer and “The Morning Show” star took to Instagram with an update on his mental health.

“I have been struggling with anxiety and depression for most of my life,” he wrote. “Sometimes it’s just a subtle feeling that something deep inside is wrong. Sometimes it’s a little stronger, and it affects my ability to function properly. And sometimes it comes barging through my front door and pins me to the ground for an unknown and seemingly insurmountable amount of time.”

He continued: “When I see pictures of myself like this one, I can see the fear and sadness behind the smile. Even at my most ‘happy’ times. But at times like these, when the world is so deeply terrifying and saddening, it’s a struggle just to stay on my feet and keep from crashing.”

Duplass said he’s coming “from the perspective of someone with years of experience dealing with this and excellent support systems… daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep, the right medication, a great therapist, a family who loves and supports me, the ability to eat healthy foods, etc.”

“So I wanted to take a moment to send my love and support to all of you who may be dealing with something similar,” he wrote. “I know we’ve heard all the platitudes before, but sometimes it’s good to hear them again. You are not alone. There is help. This will pass.”

His “Morning Show” costar Jennifer Aniston commented on the post with a heart emoji.

Duplass concluded his message with information for anyone who may need help.

“If you find yourself descending to someplace new and scary, please text/call/chat ’988’ and there is someone available 24/7 to help. Sending you all a big blast of resilience, light and love,” he wrote.

George Clooney and Tyler Perry met with SAG-AFTRA leadership after studio talks fell apart, source

George Clooney, Tyler Perry and other notable entertainment professionals met with SAG-AFTRA union leaders on Tuesday following a breakdown in contract negotiations between the guild and major studios last week.

The two stars spoke over Zoom with Fran Drescher and Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, SAG-AFTRA President and the National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator for the union, respectively, to “find a way forward” to end the strike, a source with knowledge of the discussions told CNN.

Deadline was first to report the news.

Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone and Ben Affleck also joined the meeting, the source said.

CNN has reached out to SAG-AFTRA for comment.

Representatives for Clooney and Perry were not immediately available for comment.

Contract negotiations broke down on Oct. 11, with Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) suspending discussions because they were “no longer moving” forward “in a productive direction.”

The studios and SAG-AFTRA are negotiating revenue sharing and policies around use of artificial intelligence, among other items.

The strike has been going on since July 14.

‘The Office’ showrunner addresses reboot speculation

Is it the return of Dunder Mifflin or not?

Greg Daniels, the co-creator and showrunner of the US version of “The Office,” understands there’s a lot of interest in a possible reboot of the workplace sitcom.

Daniels recently gave an interview to Collider Editor-in-Chief Steve Weintraub for Prime Video’s “Upload” and was asked about it.

“Well, I think that it’s very speculative. The fact that it kind of blew up based on one line in a Puck piece was kind of cool, I guess, in the sense that the fans still care a lot,” Daniels said. “But the thing I would say is, when there’s something to announce, I will definitely announce it.”

Daniels did confirm that he has had some conversations with NBC, the network home of the series from 2005 to 2013.

The writer has previously said that if he does revisit “The Office,” it wouldn’t necessarily be a traditional reboot. Think spinoff.

“I don’t think it would be the same characters. I think it would just be sort of like an extension of the universe, you know what I mean, like the way [The] ‘Mandalorian’ is like an extension of ‘Star Wars,” Daniels said in an interview last year. “But I don’t know if that would be something people would want or not, it’s hard to tell.”

We’ll be waiting in the break room.

The cast of ‘Living for the Dead’ have their own ghost stories

Ghost stories are getting new life in the upcoming Hulu series “Living for the Dead.”

Executive produced by Kristen Stewart and the creators of “Queer Eye,” the show features five LGBTQ+ ghost hunters, each with their own unique talent, traveling the country to investigate the paranormal.

According to the official synopsis from Hulu, the show aims to “explore some of the world’s most infamous haunted locations,” and “shed light on those not seen.”

Rob Eric, one of the shows producers, recently spoke with CNN about how Stewart came to them with the idea.

“We got a phone call from our agents that Kristen wanted to meet on a project and we were like, yeah, it’s Kristen Stewart, so then she got on and told us that she had this idea that what would it be like to have a ghost-hunting show that had an LGBTQ cast,” Eric said. “And we are the ‘Queer Eye’ guys. We know the way that our community sort of sees things is different than other communities and we’ve never seen this before and wouldn’t that be interesting.”

Eric said they met with Stewart, created a format, then set out to cast the show. They landed on ghost hunters Alex Le May, Juju Bae, Ken Boggle, Logan Taylor, and Roz Hernandez, who each have paranormal specialties.

Boggle, who is a medium and tarot cards expert, told CNN his most terrifying moment filming happened while they were investigating strange activity at The Clown Motel in Nevada, featured in one of the episodes.

“I am terrified of clowns and so my teammates, my friends, decided that we would go to this Clown Motel and that they would put me blindfolded in a room of clowns in the dark,” he said.

Bae, a witch, said she developed her intuitive strengths with practice.

“I actually developed this in my adulthood. Like, I wasn’t a kid talking to spirits or really into the woo woo at all. This is something that I was intentional about,” she said.

While filming, Bae said she got physically scratched by a spirit in Arizona.

“I go to sleep, I wake up and there’s just three scratches down my neck into my chest,” she recalled.

Taylor, who describes himself as “the psychic of the group,” told CNN he also had physical encounters with ghosts.

“There were places that I got my hair pulled,” Taylor said of filming the series. “There was actually a moment where I kind of got grabbed. I’m used to seeing them [ghosts], hearing them, but when they start touching me, it was scary. I’m telling you, it would make any skeptic a believer.”

Hernandez, who was cast due to the success of their paranormal comedy podcast, “Ghosted,” owns up to being ghost “obsessed.”

“I feel like the luckiest fan of these shows ever,” Hernandez told CNN. “Now I get to be in one and sort of be a little skeptical and try to get down to the bottom of what’s going on there.”

Le May, a “paranormal investigator,” was excited about analyzing supernatural incidents and sharing their findings.

“The scariest scene for me was when I crawled into where they kept the bodies in a morgue by myself and had a lovely conversation with a malevolent spirit,” Le May recalled. “But I really, really ate it up. I thought it was a blast, and I got so much good evidence out of that.”

Of the naysayers, Le May said “for people who are skeptics, I tell them to book a night at The Clown Motel and stay in room 111.”

“Living for the Dead” streams on Hulu starting Oct 18.

Millie Bobby Brown is not sad about ‘Stranger Things’ ending

Millie Bobby Brown sounds grateful for her time on “Stranger Things” while also not mourning its ending.

During an interview with Glamour magazine (which named her Woman of the Year) conducted prior to the actors’ strike, Brown compared her hit Netflix series ending to graduating from high school.

“When you’re ready, you’re like, ‘All right, let’s do this. Let’s tackle this last senior year. Let’s get out of here,’” said Brown, who shot to stardom playing Eleven” on the show. “‘Stranger Things’takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you, and goodbye.’”

The 19-year-old credits the show with giving her “the tools and the resources to be a better actor,” but she’s got plenty of other things to occupy her time.

In addition to acting, she has a production company, which is behind the “Enola Holmes” franchise, a newly published novel, and her beauty line Florence by Mills. She’s also engaged to be married to Jon Bon Jovi’s son, Jake Bongiovi, 21.

Yes, she knows many people think they are too young to wed, but Brown points out that they both have parents who married young and are still happily wed.

“We were modeled wonderful, loving relationships,” she said. “So it’s something that we both had that mutual drive for.”
